Open Positions:

Game Server Engineer

HitPoint Inc. is looking for an experienced engineer to help architect, implement, and maintain backend services for several of our social casual games on Facebook and mobile platforms.

Required Qualifications:
-BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent degree
-2 or more years of professional experience with server programming and maintenance
-Strong background in one or more major programming languages, especially C#, Java, Javascript, Python, and PHP
-Significant experience with OS/Server administration in Linux/Ubuntu, Mac OSX, and Windows
-Experience with source control systems, especially Git and SVN
-Excellent communication skills and experience working on small to moderately sized engineering teams
-A self-motivated and conscientious work ethic, and a high bar for quality of work

Preferred Qualifications:
-Significant experience with database technologies, especially MongoDB, SQL Server, and Hibernate
-Significant experience with web services, especially Tomcat, PHP, Java EE, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails
Experience with cloud hosted server solutions, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS)
-Experience with live service monitoring, especially via AWS CloudWatch
-Experience with existing tools for load testing and AWS auto-scaling
-Experience with build automation software, especially Hudson/Jenkins and AWS OpsWorks
Experience with build scripting, especially using Ant, Maven, and Rake
-Experience with game programming, especially in Unity and Flash/ActionScript

This position is full-time, but has a 3 month trial period. Benefits include 401k, health and dental, paid time off, flex holidays and more. Salary will be determined based on experience and references.
